This is where you begin the process of filing a complaint against an employee of the Houston Police Department.
If you choose to include your contact information, a person from the Office of Policing Reform and Accountability (OPRA) will follow up with you within three (3) business days. In order to launch a formal investigation, state law requires you to submit a notarized affidavit. OPRA will help you through that process.
If you decide to submit an anonymous complaint, OPRA cannot follow up with you. However, anonymous complaints are reviewed and may lead to internal, informal investigations.
